MyYoga Trainer ("the App", "we", "us") is a bodybuilding and yoga workout app developed as an independent, single-developer project. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how, in plain language.
The short version: MyYoga Trainer stores your workouts, exercises, and body weight entries locally on your device. We do not operate any server that receives or stores that content, we do not show ads, and we do not use third-party analytics. We do use Firebase Crashlytics to receive automatic crash reports so we can fix bugs — see Section 5 for exactly what that involves.
1. Information the App Collects
All of the following is entered by you and stored only on your device:
Workouts and exercises: the workouts you create, the exercises in them, and set details (repetitions, weight, duration, rest time, tags/flags you assign).
Body weight log: the weight values and timestamps you choose to log.
App settings: your chosen preferences (such as timer auto-dismiss behavior), and, if you set them, the specific sound file or folder you picked using Android's built-in file picker (see Section 6).
We do not collect your name, email address, precise (GPS) location, contacts, photos, or any other data unless you choose to type it into a note or flag field yourself.
2. How Your Information Is Used
Everything you enter is used only to power the App's own features on your device: building and running your workouts, tracking sets and rest timers, and showing your body weight history. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than running the App for you.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your workouts, exercises, and body weight entries are stored in plain files in the App's private storage area on your device, which is not accessible to other apps under normal Android sandboxing. This storage is not encrypted at rest. Because we do not operate a server for this content, we have no ability to view, access, or recover it — if you uninstall the App or lose your device without a backup, that data is gone, including for us.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or share your workout or body weight data with third parties. The only way this data leaves your device is if you actively choose to do so — for example, by using the App's "Share workout" feature to send a workout file through Android's standard share menu. That sharing action, and the destination you pick, is entirely under your control; we have no visibility into it.
5. Third-Party Services
The App uses Firebase Crashlytics (a Google service) to automatically receive crash and error reports if the App malfunctions. This may include technical, non-personal diagnostic information such as your device model, OS version, app version, and the technical details of the crash (e.g. a stack trace). It does not include your workouts, exercises, or body weight entries. This data is transmitted to and processed by Google, subject to Google's own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
We do not integrate any advertising networks, and we do not use any other third-party analytics SDK beyond the crash reporting described above.
6. Permissions
The App requests the VIBRATE permission, used for haptic timer/rest cues. It does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or location.
If you choose to set a custom alert sound or select an external folder for your workout files, the App uses Android's built-in file/folder picker. In both cases, the App only gets access to the specific file or folder you select — not to your device's storage in general.
7. Data Retention and Your Control
Your workout and body weight data stays on your device for as long as you keep the App installed. You can view, edit, or delete any workout, exercise, or body weight entry at any time from within the App. Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all of its locally stored data. Crash reports already sent to Firebase before uninstalling are retained by Google under its own data retention terms, separately from your on-device data.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes — for example, if a future version of the App adds an account, cloud sync, or additional third-party services — we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above before that feature becomes active.
