Privacy Policy for MasjedTech

MasjedTech provides the MasjedTech mobile application for configuring and managing compatible MasjedTech prayer relay devices.

1. What the app does
   The app is used to:

   • connect to a compatible MasjedTech device over Wi-Fi or local network

   • configure prayer times, location, network settings, and relay behavior

   • update prayer tables and device settings

   • optionally enable remote support features when requested by the user

2. Information we may process
   Depending on the features used, the app may process:

   • Wi-Fi and local network information needed to discover or connect to the device

   • device configuration data entered by the user

   • prayer table files selected by the user

   • remote support session data when the user explicitly enables remote support

   • app diagnostic information related to remote support status

   • battery and connection status used only for remote support functionality

3. Location and nearby device permissions
   The app may request Nearby Wi-Fi Devices and Location-related permissions on some Android versions to allow Wi-Fi discovery and connection to the MasjedTech device. These permissions are used only for device connection and setup, and not for tracking the user's location.

4. Notifications
   The app may request notification permission in order to display important background service or support-related notices when needed.

5. Remote support
   If the user enables remote support, the app may send selected device status and support session data to our Firebase-based support service so authorized support staff can assist with diagnosis and maintenance. Remote support is user-controlled and can be disabled by the user.

6. Data sharing
   We do not sell personal data. Data used by the app is primarily used for:

   • connecting to and managing the user's device

   • providing optional remote support when requested
     We may use service providers such as Firebase for remote support communication.

7. Data retention
   Most device configuration actions are performed locally between the app and the device. Remote support data is used only for support functionality and may be retained for operational or troubleshooting purposes for a limited period.

8. Security
   We take reasonable steps to protect data used by the app. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

9. Children's privacy
   This app is not directed specifically to children.

10. Changes to this policy
    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at the same URL.
