indexiFly - index cards on the fly
Effective date: July 9, 2026
indexiFly is built to be private by design. The app has no user accounts, no advertising, no analytics SDKs, and no server of ours that ever receives your content. This policy explains exactly what data exists, where it lives, and the two narrow cases where data leaves your device (iCloud sync and purchase processing).
We do not collect, request, or store your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, photos, or any other personal information. The app works without creating an account. We do not track your activity, do not profile you, and do not sell or share data with advertisers - there is nothing to sell.
Your decks, cards, notes, drawings, tags, and QR/barcode wallet entries are stored in a local database on your device. We cannot see, access, or recover this content. Deleting the app deletes this local data.
If you enable iCloud Sync, a copy of your library (decks, cards, tags, drawings, and wallet entries) is stored in your personal iCloud Drive in a private container that only the indexiFly app on your own devices can access. This data goes to Apple's iCloud, under your Apple Account - never to us. Apple encrypts it in transit and at rest, as described in Apple's Privacy Policy.
You can turn sync off at any time in Settings; your local data is never affected. To remove synced copies, delete the app's data from iCloud Drive in your device's iCloud storage settings.
Premium purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We never see or store your payment details.
To validate purchases and unlock Premium reliably across reinstalls, the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase-infrastructure provider. RevenueCat receives a random anonymous identifier generated by the app and store transaction information (product purchased, price, currency, and store receipt). It does not receive your name, email, payment details, or any of your content. This processing is necessary to provide the Premium features you purchased.
The camera is used only when you choose to scan a QR code or barcode (for the wallet feature or importing a shared deck). Scanning happens entirely on your device; no images or video are stored or transmitted.
Locked decks use your device's built-in authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint, or passcode). Biometric data is handled by the operating system only - the app never sees, stores, or transmits it; it only receives a yes/no result.
Text-to-speech, search, spaced-repetition scheduling, PDF and image export all run locally on your device. Content you explicitly export or share (files, QR codes, printouts) goes only where you send it.
Apple and Google may provide us aggregated, anonymized statistics (such as install counts and crash reports) through their standard developer consoles, governed by their own privacy policies and your device's settings. The app itself contains no analytics or tracking code.
Everything lives on your device (and, if you enabled sync, in your own iCloud). Deleting the app removes local data; removing the app's iCloud Drive data deletes synced copies. Purchase records are retained by Apple/Google and RevenueCat as required to honor your purchases.
indexiFly is not directed at children under 13, and since we collect no personal information, none is collected from children.
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version at this address with a new effective date. Material changes (for example, any new category of data leaving your device) will also be announced in the app's release notes.
