This Privacy Policy describes how the Ihsan app ("the App") handles user information.

Information We Collect The App may access or collect the following information:

Location Information The App may access your device's approximate or precise location to calculate accurate prayer times and provide location-based features such as nearby mosques and map functionality. Location data is used only while the App is running and is not stored on our servers.

Account Information If you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and username. This is stored securely via Firebase Authentication and Firestore.

User Content Posts or messages submitted to the community forum are stored in our database and associated with your account.

Activity Data Daily ibadah tracking data (prayers, fasting, Quran reading, Zikr) is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

Health-Related Data The App allows users to voluntarily log fasting and prayer activity as part of a personal ibadah tracker. This data is stored locally on your device only. It is not collected, transmitted, or shared with the developer or any third party.

How We Use Information

• Calculating and displaying prayer times based on your location

• Displaying map-related and mosque discovery features

• Managing your account and community forum posts

• Providing core functionality of the App

Data Retention Account data (email, display name, username, forum posts) is retained for as long as your account remains active. Local device data such as activity tracking, Quran progress and app preferences is retained on your device until you uninstall the App or clear its data.

Data Deletion You can delete your account at any time from within the App under Account Settings. Upon deletion, all account data including your profile and forum posts will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. Local data stored on your device can be removed by uninstalling the App. To request manual data deletion you can contact us at the email below.

Third-Party Services The App uses the following third-party services which may process certain data:

• Firebase (Google) — authentication and data storage

• Google Maps & Places — location and mosque discovery

• Aladhan API — prayer time calculations

• eMasjid Live — mosque radio streams

Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy.

Data Sharing The App does not sell, trade, or share personal user data with third parties beyond what is necessary to operate the services listed above.

Children's Privacy The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Privacy Policy This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised date.
