1. Introduction This Privacy Policy applies to the "HVAC Tech Buddy" mobile application (hereby referred to as "the App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains our data collection, use, and disclosure practices.
2. Offline Data Storage (Local Data) HVAC Tech Buddy is designed to function as an offline application. All data you enter into the App—including but not limited to customer names, phone numbers, addresses, air conditioner specifications, service logs, and custom error codes—is saved strictly locally on your device's internal storage using SQLite databases. We DO NOT collect, transmit, store, or process any of your personal or business data on external servers. The data belongs entirely to you.
3. Permissions Required To provide core functionalities, the App may require the following permissions:
Storage/Files: Required ONLY if you choose to use the "Backup/Restore" feature to save or load your database file locally.
Phone/Dialer: Used ONLY when you actively click the "Call" button to contact a saved client. The App does not read your call logs or make background calls.
4. Third-Party Services (Google AdMob) The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use certain non-personal data (such as advertising IDs, device IP addresses, or geographic location data) to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. 5. Data Security & Backup Since all app data is stored locally on your device, it is your responsibility to secure your device. We highly recommend using the App's built-in "Export Database" feature periodically to back up your data, as uninstalling the App or losing your device will result in the permanent loss of this local data.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
