Privacy Policy for GitPulse: Repo Analyzer

1. Introduction

GitPulse: Repo Analyzer ("the App"), developed by AntoTech ("we," "us," or "our"), is a professional tool designed to audit GitHub repositories, visualize technical metrics, and provide health scores.

This update reflects a major architectural change: all technical diagnostics and repo analyses are now performed locally on your device. Unlike previous versions, the App does not transmit repository code or metadata to external AI models (like Google Gemini) for analysis. We are committed to a "Privacy-First" approach.

2. Information Handling (Local Storage)

The App is designed to be as private as possible. The following data is stored exclusively on your device (Local Storage) and is never sent to our servers:

• GitHub Personal Access Token: If provided, it is used only to authenticate your requests directly with the GitHub API.

• Repository Watchlist: The list of your favorite projects.

• User Preferences: Your selected language (English/Spanish) and theme (Dark/Light).

3. Local Diagnostic Engine

All "Technical Audits," "Intelligence Suite" calculations (Dev Cost, Bus Factor, etc.), and "Security Audits" are generated using internal logic and local algorithms.

• No Repository Data Transmission: Your repository data (names, stats, languages) is fetched from the GitHub API and processed locally in your browser/app.

• Privacy Assurance: No third-party AI service processes your repository's structural data in this version of the App.

4. Third-Party Services

To provide full functionality, the App interacts with the following services:

• GitHub API: To fetch public repository information. This is governed by GitHub’s Privacy Policy.

• Google AdMob: The App displays ads to remain free. AdMob may collect device identifiers (Advertising ID), IP addresses, and usage data to serve relevant ads.

• GitHub Gist (Version Control): The App performs a simple fetch to a public Gist to check for available updates. No user data is sent during this check.

5. Data Security

• Encryption: All communication with the GitHub API is performed over encrypted HTTPS connections.

• Local Control: Since your data is stored locally, you have total control. Deleting the App or clearing the App's cache/data will permanently remove your Token and Watchlist.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Your Rights and Choices

• Token Management: You can add, change, or delete your GitHub Token at any time.

• Ad Settings: You can opt-out of personalized advertising through your device's Android/iOS settings.

• Data Deletion: To wipe all data, simply use the "Clear Data" option in your device settings or log out of the token within the App.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. Updates will be visible within the App menu.
