Ezan Vakti Pro ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application collects, uses, and safeguards your information, with a specific focus on location data required for religious calculations.
A. Location Data (Foreground and Background)
Our application requires access to your device's location (Fine and Coarse Location) to function.
Purpose: To calculate high-precision prayer times (Salah) and determine the Qibla direction based on your exact coordinates.
Background Access: This app requests Background Location Access. This is strictly used to automatically update prayer times and trigger accurate Adhan notifications when you travel or change locations, even when the app is closed or not in use.
Processing: Prayer time calculations are performed locally on your device using the coordinates.
Third-Party Disclosure: We use the BigDataCloud API for "Reverse Geocoding." Your coordinates are sent momentarily to detect your city/country and set the app language/settings automatically. This data is processed anonymously.
B. Local Storage and Preferences
The app uses local storage on your device to save:
Selected calculation methods (e.g., Diyanet, MWL).
Notification preferences and Adhan sound selections.
Language settings. This data is stored only on your device and is not uploaded to any server.
C. Personal Information
We do not collect, store, or share any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, or contacts. No account registration is required.
To provide our services, we interact with the following providers:
BigDataCloud: To determine regional settings via coordinates.
Internet Archive (archive.org): To stream or download Adhan (call to prayer) audio files.
Google Play Services: For app stability and notification delivery.
These services may process your IP address as part of standard HTTPS communication.
All communications with third-party APIs are performed over encrypted HTTPS protocols. Since we do not maintain a central database of user profiles, your personal data risk is minimal.
In compliance with Google Play Policies:
The app displays an in-app disclosure before requesting background location.
The background location is used only for the "Auto-Update Prayer Times" and "Location-Based Adhan Alerts" features.
Users can deny this permission, though it may limit the accuracy of notifications during travel.
Our services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app is safe for all age groups as it contains no tracking or social features.
