Welcome to Expense Tracker. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of user privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how our mobile application handles data to ensure a secure and private experience for our users.
1. Data Collection and Usage
Expense Tracker is primarily an offline finance management tool designed to function without collecting sensitive user data.
■ No Personal Information: We do not automatically collect personal details such as names, physical addresses, or phone numbers.
■ Local Processing: All financial calculations, transaction inputs, and balance summaries are processed exclusively on your device. We do not transmit or store your financial data on any external servers.
■ Voluntary Communication: If you choose to contact us via email for support, we will receive your email address solely for the purpose of responding to your query.
2. Local Data Storage
All operational data, including transaction histories and account matrices, is retained solely within the application's secure, private directory on the mobile device. No financial telemetry is transmitted to external servers.
■ Recycle Bin: When you delete records within the app, they are temporarily moved to a local Recycle Bin on your device. This data is retained for 30 days to allow you to recover accidental deletions. If not recovered within this period, the data is automatically and permanently deleted from your device storage. All Recycle Bin data remains completely offline and is never uploaded to any servers.
■ Currency Calculator: The built-in currency calculator performs all exchange and currency calculations locally on your device. We do not track, collect, or store your currency conversions or any related financial data.
■ PDF Report Generation and Sharing: You can generate PDF reports of your income and expense records. These PDF files are created locally on your device. If you choose to share these PDFs using third-party apps, the sharing process is initiated by you and is governed by the privacy policies of those respective apps. We do not track, collect, or have access to your generated PDFs.
3. Permissions
The Application requests minimal permissions to function effectively:
■ Storage Permission: This permission (Read/Write External Storage) is requested only if you use the export or backup features. This allows the app to save the generated financial reports (such as PDF files) or backup files to your device's storage.
■ Billing Permission: Used exclusively to process voluntary in-app contributions (e.g., "Support Developer") securely through the Google Play Billing system.
■ Network Access: While the core features are fully offline, network access is used only for processing voluntary in-app purchases via Google Play and sending feedback or support emails via your default email client.
4. Third-Party Services
We prioritize a clean, tracking-free experience:
■ No Analytics: We do not use third-party analytics tools to track user behavior or usage patterns.
■ No Advertising: This application does not include advertising SDKs that collect data for user profiling or targeting.
■ In-App Purchases: In-App Purchases (Optional Developer Support): Expense Tracker is completely free to use, with no hidden subscriptions and no advertisements. If you find our application helpful and wish to support its continued development, you have the option to make a voluntary contribution. This is entirely optional, and there is no obligation to pay. All payment processing is handled securely by Google Play Billing. We do not collect, process, or have access to your credit card information, bank details, or payment credentials.
5. Data Security
We implement standard Android security measures to protect your locally stored information. Since the data resides entirely on your phone, the security of your data also depends on your device's security settings (e.g., Screen Lock, Biometrics).
6. Children’s Privacy
Our Application is safe for users of all age groups. We do not knowingly collect or solicit any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our features. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
