# Privacy Policy for Easy Performance Checker
Effective date: June 24, 2026
Easy Performance Checker is a browser extension that diagnoses connection responsiveness, device load, and inactive-tab conditions. It does not provide accounts, advertising, analytics, or behavioral tracking.
## Data handled
The extension handles the following data only to provide its user-facing features:
- Connection measurements: response timing, request success or failure, HTTP status classes, received byte counts, and estimated download speed.
- Device diagnostics: available-memory percentage and an estimated CPU-load percentage.
- Browser-tab information: tab identifier, title, URL/hostname, active, pinned, audible, discarded, auto-discardable, and last-accessed state.
- User settings: language, measurement mode, inactive-tab threshold, speed-test size, history limit, and hostnames the user chooses to keep active.
The extension does not read page contents, form data, cookies, passwords, personal communications, or authentication tokens.
## How data is used and stored
- Settings, the latest diagnosis, aggregate diagnostic history, and memory-release counts are stored in `chrome.storage.local` on the user's device.
- Diagnostic history contains aggregate measurements and diagnosis labels. It does not contain tab titles, tab URLs, current-site URLs, CPU model names, or raw tab lists.
- Tab titles and URLs are used transiently to display memory-release candidates. They are not retained in diagnostic history or memory-release logs.
- A hostname is stored only when the user explicitly adds it to the “Sites to keep active” setting.
- Users can delete all stored data by removing the extension. Individual retained hostnames can be removed in Settings.
## Network requests
When the user runs a diagnosis, or after the user explicitly enables automatic checks, the extension sends credential-free HTTPS requests to:
- `https://www.google.com/generate_204`
- `https://connectivitycheck.gstatic.com/generate_204`
- `https://www.cloudflare.com/cdn-cgi/trace`
- `https://speed.cloudflare.com/__down`
These requests are used only to measure response timing, request success, and approximate download speed. Request credentials are omitted. The endpoint operators may process requests according to their own privacy policies.
The optional current-site check sends a credential-free HTTPS `HEAD` request to the origin of the active tab only after the user selects “Check this site.” The URL and hostname are not saved.
## Sharing and sale
The developer does not receive, sell, rent, or share user data. The extension does not transmit settings, tab lists, diagnostic history, or device diagnostic values to the developer or to advertising, analytics, or data-broker services.
## Security
All measurement requests use HTTPS. The extension executes no remotely hosted code. Stored data remains in Chrome's local extension storage.
## Limited Use
The use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide and improve the extension's single purpose and is not used for personalized advertising, creditworthiness, lending, or sale to third parties.
## Changes
This policy will be updated if the extension's data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.

Easy Performance Checkerは、回線の応答性、端末負荷、非アクティブタブの状態を診断するブラウザ拡張機能です。アカウント、広告、アクセス解析、行動追跡は使用しません。
## 取り扱うデータ
利用者向け機能の提供に必要な範囲で、次のデータを取り扱います。
- 通信測定: 応答時間、リクエストの成功・失敗、HTTPステータスの分類、受信バイト数、推定ダウンロード速度
- 端末診断: 空きメモリの割合、推定CPU使用率
- ブラウザタブ情報: タブID、タイトル、URL・ホスト名、表示中・固定・音声再生中・解放済み・自動解放可否・最終利用時刻
- 利用者設定: 言語、測定モード、非アクティブ判定時間、速度測定サイズ、履歴件数、利用者が常時アクティブに指定したホスト名
ページ本文、フォーム入力、Cookie、パスワード、個人的な通信、認証トークンは読み取りません。
## 利用方法と保存
- 設定、直近の診断、集計した診断履歴、メモリ解放件数を端末内の`chrome.storage.local`に保存します。
- 診断履歴に保存するのは集計した測定値と診断ラベルです。タブ名、タブURL、現在サイトのURL、CPU製品名、タブ一覧は保存しません。
- タブ名とURLはメモリ解放候補を表示する間だけ使用し、診断履歴や解放ログには残しません。
- 「常にアクティブにするサイト」に利用者が明示的に追加した場合だけ、そのホスト名を設定として保存します。
- 拡張機能を削除すると保存データを削除できます。保存したホスト名は設定画面から個別に削除できます。
## 外部通信
利用者が診断を実行した場合、または利用者が自動測定を明示的に有効にした場合、次の測定先へ認証情報を含まないHTTPSリクエストを送ります。

通信は応答時間、成功・失敗、推定ダウンロード速度の測定だけに使用します。認証情報は送信しません。各測定先の運営者は、それぞれのプライバシーポリシーに従ってリクエストを処理する場合があります。
現在サイトの追加確認は、利用者が「このサイトを確認」を押した場合だけ、表示中タブのオリジンへ認証情報を含まないHTTPSの`HEAD`リクエストを送ります。URLとホスト名は保存しません。
## 共有・販売
開発者は利用者データを受信、販売、貸与、共有しません。設定、タブ一覧、診断履歴、端末診断値を、開発者、広告、解析、データ仲介サービスへ送信しません。
## セキュリティ
測定通信はすべてHTTPSを使用します。外部でホストされたコードは実行しません。保存データはChromeの拡張機能用ローカルストレージ内に留まります。
## Limited Use
Chrome APIから受け取る情報の利用は、Limited Use要件を含むChromeウェブストアのユーザーデータポリシーに従います。データは本拡張機能の単一目的の提供・改善だけに使用し、パーソナライズ広告、信用評価、融資、第三者への販売には使用しません。
