Debit Book is a simple cash book, debit-credit ledger, udhar/khata record, and daily income-expense tracking app. The app is designed to help users record transactions, manage customer balances, create reports, and keep personal or business records.

Debit Book is designed to work as an offline-first app. Most information entered in the app is stored locally on your device.
The app may allow you to enter information such as:

Udhar/khata records

Generated reports, PDF statements, or exported files
This information is entered by you for your own record keeping.
We do not sell your personal data.

Your ledger, cash book, debit-credit, and expense data is primarily stored locally on your device.
This means your records remain on your phone unless you choose to export, share, or back up them yourself.
If you uninstall the app, clear app data, reset your phone, or lose your device, your locally stored records may be deleted unless you have created a backup.
Debit Book may provide backup or export features such as:
PDF export
CSV or Excel export
Local file backup
Sharing statements through other apps
Optional cloud backup, if enabled in the app
When you export or share your data, you are responsible for where that file is saved or sent.
For example, if you share a PDF statement through WhatsApp, email, Google Drive, or another app, the data will be handled according to that third-party app’s own privacy policy.
Debit Book does not control how third-party apps process information after you choose to share or export it.
Debit Book may allow you to share balance reminders, payment reminders, transaction summaries, or PDF statements through WhatsApp or other sharing apps installed on your device.
We do not automatically send messages on your behalf.
Sharing only happens when you choose to use the share option.
Any information shared through WhatsApp, email, SMS, or other apps is handled by those third-party services.
Debit Book may request certain device permissions only when needed for app features.
Depending on the features available in your version of the app, permissions may include:
Storage or file access: To save, import, or export backup files, PDFs, CSV files, or reports.
Notification permission: To show reminders or alerts, if reminders are enabled.
Biometric or device lock access: To protect the app using fingerprint, face unlock, PIN, or device authentication, if you enable app lock.
Internet access: Only if cloud backup, sync, updates, crash reporting, or online features are added.
Debit Book does not request access to your location, SMS, call logs, or contacts unless a future feature clearly requires it and asks for your permission first.
Information entered into Debit Book is used to provide the app’s core features, including:

Managing customer or person balances

All records entered in the app are for your own tracking and reference.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your device, backups, exported files, and shared reports safe.
Your data remains stored on your device until you delete it.
You can delete your records by:
Deleting entries inside the app
Deleting books or accounts inside the app
Clearing app data from Android settings
Uninstalling the app
Deleting exported files or backups manually
If you have created backups outside the app, such as on Google Drive or local storage, you may need to delete those backups separately.
Debit Book is intended for general users, small businesses, shopkeepers, freelancers, and individuals who need to manage financial records.
The app is not specifically designed for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Debit Book may interact with third-party services when you choose to use certain features, such as:
Google Play services
Google Drive backup, if available
WhatsApp sharing
Email sharing
PDF viewer apps
File manager apps
Analytics or crash reporting tools, if used
