Effective Date: June 15, 2026
DatumLab is an offline-first mechanical calculator and reference app. This Privacy Policy explains how DatumLab handles information when you use the app.
DatumLab does not collect personal data, does not track users, does not show advertising, and does not require an account.
Data you create in the app is stored on your device. If you choose to use iCloud sync, that data may also be stored in your personal iCloud Drive account through Apple's iCloud services. The developer of DatumLab does not operate a server that receives or stores your app data.
DatumLab does not collect personal information from you.
The app does not collect:
Name, email address, phone number, or account identifiers
Location data
Contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or health data
Device identifiers for tracking
Advertising identifiers
Analytics or usage tracking data
Crash reports sent to the developer
DatumLab may store app data locally on your device so the app can function. This may include:
Favorites
Recent calculations
Custom tools
Custom materials
App preferences
Machine limits
Generated report data
This information remains on your device unless you choose to sync or share it using system features.
DatumLab may offer optional iCloud Drive sync for app data. If you use this feature, your app data may be stored in your personal iCloud account.
iCloud storage and sync are provided by Apple. Your use of iCloud is governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy. The developer of DatumLab does not receive, read, or control the data stored in your iCloud account.
You can manage iCloud access and stored files through iOS Settings, iCloud Drive, and the Files app.
DatumLab may allow you to export or share calculation reports, text, CSV, PDF, or image files using standard iOS sharing features.
When you choose to share or export content, you control the destination. The privacy practices of the destination app, service, or recipient are not controlled by DatumLab.
DatumLab does not include third-party advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or tracking SDKs.
DatumLab uses Apple system services where required for normal app functionality, such as local storage, iCloud Drive, Files, and the iOS share sheet.
DatumLab does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
DatumLab does not use data brokers, advertising networks, fingerprinting, or cross-app tracking technologies.
Data stored locally by DatumLab remains on your device until you delete it, reset app data, or uninstall the app.
Data stored in iCloud remains in your iCloud account until you delete it through iCloud Drive, the Files app, iOS Settings, or other Apple-provided controls.
Because DatumLab does not collect or store your data on developer-operated servers, the developer cannot access or delete your local or iCloud data for you.
You can delete DatumLab data by:
Deleting favorites, custom tools, custom materials, or recent items inside the app where available
Removing exported files from the Files app or other locations where you saved them
Deleting DatumLab files from iCloud Drive if you used iCloud sync
Deleting the app from your device
DatumLab is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
DatumLab is designed to keep app data local to your device or within your personal iCloud account when iCloud sync is enabled. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but DatumLab minimizes privacy risk by not operating developer servers for user data and by not using tracking, advertising, or analytics services.
This Privacy Policy may be updated if DatumLab's features or data practices change. If the app later adds analytics, crash reporting, accounts, subscriptions, server sync, or other services that collect data, this policy will be updated to describe those changes.
