Privacy Policy for Food Cracker

Food Cracker ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in the Food Cracker mobile application (the "App").

1. No Personal Data Collection

We believe in complete privacy.

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
All data, including your lock configurations, goals, and savings logs, is stored locally on your device in a secure private database.
The App does not contain any analytics tracking, advertising networks, or third-party SDKs that collect your data.
No data ever leaves your device.

2. Accessibility Service API Usage (Critical Disclosure)

Food Cracker utilizes Android's AccessibilityService API to enable its core feature: helping you resist impulse food delivery orders.

What we monitor:

The App monitors when selected food delivery packages (such as Swiggy, Zomato, etc.) are launched into the foreground.
It checks the names of active windows to detect and block uninstallation dialogs of Food Cracker while a commitment lock is active.

How it is used:

When a monitored food delivery app is opened during an active commitment lock, the Accessibility Service intercepts the action and displays a local fullscreen mindful pause screen (with breathing exercises) to help you "surf the urge."
If an attempt is made to uninstall the App during an active lock, it automatically redirects you to the home screen to prevent bypasses of your commitment.

Privacy & Data Safety:

No Data Harvesting: The Accessibility Service is used strictly to detect active package names and layout text for blocking purposes.
No Transmission: Absolutely no data read by the Accessibility Service is collected, stored, or sent to any server. All processing happens entirely in memory on your local device.
Consent: The Accessibility Service is completely optional and must be explicitly enabled by you in your device's Accessibility Settings during onboarding. You can disable it at any time from your system settings (when a lock is not active).

3. Battery Optimization and Autostart Permissions

The App requests permission to bypass battery optimization and run in the background (or autostart on specific devices like Xiaomi/Poco) to ensure the accessibility monitoring service runs reliably. These settings do not collect or share any usage information.

4. Children's Privacy

Our App is intended for a general audience aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date".
