This Privacy Policy explains how Fintrack — Money Manager ("Fintrack", "the app", "we", "us") handles your information. By using the app you agree to this policy.
> **Summary:** Your financial data (transactions, budgets, accounts, categories, notes) is stored **only on your device**. We do not have user accounts and we never send your financial records to our servers. The app uses Google Firebase (Analytics, Remote Config) and Google AdMob (advertising), which process limited technical data as described below. The app is free and ad‑supported; an **optional one‑time in‑app purchase ("Remove ads")** is available and is processed by **Google Play** — we never receive your payment details.
---
## 1. Information We Do **Not** Collect
- We do **not** require registration, login, name, email, or phone number to use the app.
- We do **not** upload, sell, or share your transactions, budgets, balances, accounts, or notes.
- We do **not** access your contacts, SMS, photos, or location.
## 2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The following is stored **only on your device** using local storage (Room database) and is never transmitted to us:
- Income and expense transactions, amounts, dates, notes.
- Categories (including any you create), budgets, wallets/accounts.
- App settings (currency, language, theme, reminder preferences).
- Whether you purchased "Remove ads" (a local on/off flag; no payment details are stored).
If you enable the optional daily reminder, the app schedules a **local notification** on your device (requiring notification permission on Android 13+); this is processed entirely on‑device and sends no data to us.
You control this data. You can export it (CSV/PDF), back it up to / restore it from a file you choose, delete individual records, or clear all data by uninstalling the app. If you enable Android's system backup, your app data may be backed up to **your own** Google Drive account by Android; that backup is controlled by Google and your device settings, not by us.
## 3. Information Processed by Third‑Party Services
To operate and improve the app, we use the following Google services. Each is governed by Google's own privacy policy.
### a) Firebase Analytics
Collects anonymous/aggregated usage data such as: app opens, feature usage events (e.g., a transaction was added, a report was viewed), device model, OS version, language, country, and a randomly generated app-instance identifier. This helps us understand usage and improve the app. It is **not** linked to your financial records.
### b) Firebase Remote Config
Downloads configuration values (e.g., feature flags, ad settings, update notices) from Google's servers. It sends standard technical request data (e.g., app version, device info) needed to deliver the correct configuration.
### c) Google AdMob (Advertising)
We display ads to keep the app free. AdMob may collect and process your device's **advertising identifier** and related data to show and measure ads. Where required (e.g., the European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland), we present a **consent form (Google User Messaging Platform / UMP)** before showing personalized ads. If you do not consent, you will receive **non-personalized ads** where applicable.
### d) Google Play Billing (In‑app purchases)
The app offers one optional, one‑time purchase — **"Remove ads"** (non‑consumable). The transaction is handled entirely by **Google Play**; the app does **not** receive, store, or process your payment method, card number, or billing address. We only receive a confirmation from Google Play of whether you own the product, which we store on your device as a simple on/off flag to disable ads (and to restore your purchase on a new device). Google Play's handling of payments is governed by Google's Payments Privacy Notice.

## 4. Legal Bases (GDPR)
For users in the EEA/UK/Switzerland, our legal bases for processing are:
- **Consent** — for personalized advertising (collected via the UMP consent form). You may withdraw consent at any time in **Settings → Privacy**.
- **Legitimate interests** — for basic analytics, app stability, security, and serving non‑personalized ads.
## 5. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, and to object to processing or withdraw consent.
- Your financial data is local — you can view, edit, export, or delete it directly in the app, or remove it entirely by uninstalling.
- To change advertising consent, open **Settings → Privacy** in the app.
- For requests regarding Google-processed data, see Google's privacy controls linked above, or contact us at dayatznur@gmail.com.
## 6. Data Retention
Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Third-party services retain data according to their own policies.
## 7. Children's Privacy
Fintrack is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will address it.
## 8. Security
We use Android's app sandbox and local storage to keep your data on your device. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, but we do not transmit your financial records off your device.
## 9. International Transfers
Data processed by Google services may be transferred to and processed in countries other than yours, subject to Google's safeguards.
## 10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, via an in-app notice.
