This Privacy Policy describes how Finger Frame (“we”, “us”, or “the app”) handles information when you use the iOS / iPadOS / Mac Catalyst app.

Summary

Finger Frame is a camera effects app. Hand tracking and visual effects run on your device. We do not create user accounts. Live camera frames are not uploaded to our servers for AI processing or cloud restyling. Optional analytics collect limited product events (not video). Purchases are processed by Apple.

Information we use

Camera

The app uses the camera for live preview, on-device hand tracking, and applying effects inside the finger frame. Camera frames are processed locally and are not sent to our servers for AI or cloud restyling.

Photos

If you choose to:

• pick a reference image (Unlock feature), or

• save a recording to your library,

the app accesses Photos only for that action, with your permission.

Microphone

The app may use the microphone if you record with audio, subject to system permission.

Purchases

Optional Unlock is a one-time In-App Purchase via Apple StoreKit. Apple processes payment. We do not receive your full payment card details. We may store locally on your device whether Unlock is active, and verify entitlement through Apple.

Analytics

We use Aptabase to collect anonymous / aggregated product analytics, such as:

• app opens

• feature use (e.g. effect selected, settings changes, unlock-related events)

Analytics do not include camera frames, photos, or microphone audio.

Local preferences

The app stores preferences on your device (e.g. frame-hold duration, Unlock status) using local storage (UserDefaults).

Accounts

Finger Frame does not require or provide an account, login, or profile.

How we use information

We use the information above to:

• provide core app features (camera, tracking, effects, recording, purchases)

• remember your settings

• understand product usage and improve the app

• process Unlock purchases through Apple

We do not sell your personal information.

Data sharing

• Apple — for In-App Purchases and platform services

• Aptabase — for product analytics as described above

• You / your device — Photos and camera access stay under your control via iOS permissions

We do not operate a Finger Frame cloud backend that receives your live camera feed in the current version of the app.

Retention

• Local preferences remain on your device until you change them or delete the app.

• Analytics events are retained according to Aptabase’s practices and our configuration.

• Purchase records are retained by Apple under Apple’s policies; Unlock entitlement may be restored via “Restore Purchases.”

Your choices

• Revoke camera, Photos, or microphone access in iOS Settings.

• Manage or restore purchases through Apple.

• Delete the app to remove Finger Frame’s local preferences on that device.

Children’s privacy

Finger Frame is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International users

Analytics may be processed in regions supported by Aptabase (including EU-related infrastructure for our Aptabase project). By using the app, you understand that limited analytics data may be processed as described above.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app’s features or practices change. The “Last updated” date will be revised. Material changes may also be reflected in the in-app Privacy Notice.
