Effective Date: March 1, 2026 Developer: Enoption Studios
This Privacy Policy explains how Enoption Studios ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our application, SafeGuard App Lock
We Collect
To provide the core functionality of locking applications and protecting your data, the Application requires access to certain permissions on your device.
Installed Applications (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES): We access the list of apps installed on your device. Purpose: This allows you to select which apps you wish to protect with a PIN or password.
Usage Statistics (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS): We monitor which application is currently running in the foreground. Purpose: This enables us to detect when you open a protected app and immediately display the lock screen. Without this, the PIN prompt would not appear.
System Overlay (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): We require permission to draw over other applications. Purpose: This is necessary to display the lock screen overlay on top of the protected application.
Storage Access (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO): We access your device's photo and video library. Purpose: This allows you to select and move media into the "Secret Vault" feature within the Application.
Background Services (FOREGROUND_SERVICE): The Application runs a service in the background. Purpose: This ensures the locking mechanism remains active even when you are not actively using our app.
All data processed for the purpose of app locking is processed locally on your device.
No Data Transmission: We do not collect, store, or transmit your installed app list, usage statistics, or media from your "Secret Vault" to our servers or any external servers.
Data Security: Data stored in the "Secret Vault" is encrypted and stored in the application's private internal storage, making it inaccessible to other apps or users on the device.
We use Google AdMob for advertising within the Application.
AdMob: AdMob may collect data for advertising purposes, such as device identifiers and location data, to show personalized ads. You can manage your ad settings through your Google account.
We encourage you to review the Google Privacy Policy.
Uninstalling: If you uninstall the Application, all data stored within the "Secret Vault" will be deleted permanently.
Data Reset: You can clear the application data via your device settings to remove all PINs and configurations.
The Application is provided "as is" and "as available". If you forget your security PIN or answer, you may need to reinstall the app, which will result in the loss of all data stored in the vault. Enoption Studios is not responsible for any data loss resulting from forgotten credentials or uninstallation.
