Welcome to DTD SimpleStock ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and safeguarded when you use our mobile application (the "App").
SimpleStock is designed with privacy in mind as a "local-first" application. This means the core functionality of the App operates on your device, and your business data remains in your control.
Your Inventory Data: All data you enter into the App—including product names, barcodes, prices, stock levels, transactions, and backup files (.zip or .sqlite)—is stored locally on your device's internal storage. We do not have access to your inventory data, we do not host it on our servers, and we do not transmit it to any third-party databases.
When you create a backup file, it is processed locally on your device, and you are solely responsible for where you share or store that file (e.g., Google Drive, iCloud, email).
To improve the App and manage premium subscriptions, we use trusted third-party services that may collect certain non-personally identifiable information automatically:
Usage and Analytics Data: We use Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with the App. This includes data such as pages visited (e.g., Paywall views), buttons clicked, device type, operating system, and crash reports. This data is aggregated, anonymized, and used solely to identify bugs and improve user experience.
Purchase Data: We offer in-app purchases (Pro/Premium versions). We use RevenueCat to manage these subscriptions. When you make a purchase, RevenueCat collects purchase history and subscription status (linked to an anonymous App User ID). We do not collect or process your credit card information. All payment processing is securely handled directly by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play).
The App utilizes the following third-party services, which have their own Privacy Policies regarding how they handle data:
Local Inventory Data: Because your inventory data is stored solely on your device, you can delete it permanently at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing the App's data in your device settings.
Analytics Data: Analytics data is retained according to the standard retention policies of Firebase.
Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us, and we will take steps to remove such information from our third-party analytics providers.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
