About Docu
Docu is a personal finance tracking app designed with a local-first principle, where the main data is stored on the user's device. Docu helps users record transactions, manage their wallet, and consciously reflect on their finances.
Docu is not a banking app, a financial institution, or a professional financial advisor.
Account & Access
Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their devices and accounts.
Docu is not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from user negligence (e.g., lost devices or devices accessed without security measures).
Data Storage & Privacy
By default, all data is stored locally on the user's device.
Docu does not access or read user data without permission.
The backup feature to Firestore is optional and only performed with the user's conscious action.
Docu does not sell, rent, or share user financial data with third parties.
Data Backup & Restore
Backups are performed by storing data in the form of backup files that can be encrypted.
Users are responsible for the security of their Google accounts and backup passwords (if used).
Docu is not responsible for data loss due to:
Deletion of backup files by users
Restore errors
Forgotten backup passwords
Synchronization & Data Loss
Docu prioritizes user control in the synchronization and backup process.
Users understand that:
Logging out without performing a backup may result in data not being available on other devices.
Docu will provide warnings, but the final decision rests with the user.
Data & Information Accuracy
All financial data displayed is based on user input.
Asset price information (if any) is for informational purposes only, not real-time data or transaction recommendations.
Docu does not guarantee the accuracy of external data sourced from the internet.
Not Financial Advice
Docu does not provide:
investment advice
recommendations for buying/selling assets
guarantees of profits or financial results
All financial decisions are the sole responsibility of the user.
User Responsibility
Users agree to:
use Docu for personal and legal purposes
not misuse the application for illegal activities
not attempt to access the Docu system without authorization
Application Updates
Docu may periodically update features, appearance, or systems to improve security and user experience.
Significant changes to the Terms & Conditions will be notified through the application or official website.
Termination of Service
Docu reserves the right to terminate or restrict user access in the event of a violation of these Terms & Conditions, without any obligation to provide compensation.
