TL;DR: Usage Tracker for Devin does not collect, store, or transmit any of your data to external servers. Everything stays in your browser.
WHAT DATA WE ACCESS
The extension passively reads API responses that your browser already receives from app.devin.ai while you use the Devin platform. Specifically, it reads billing and usage endpoints to extract your current ACU balance, usage statistics, and subscription tier. No additional network requests are made to Devin's servers or any third-party service.
WHERE DATA IS STORED
All data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API. This data:
• Never leaves your computer
• Is not sent to any server, API, or third party
• Is not shared with the extension developer
• Is automatically removed if you uninstall the extension
WHAT WE DON'T DO
This extension does not transmit any data to external servers. It does not use analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting. It does not collect personal information, authentication tokens, or credentials. It does not execute remote code or load scripts from external sources. It does not sell, trade, or share any data with third parties.
PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED
storage: Save your usage data and preferences locally on your device.
alarms: Schedule periodic background syncs of your ACU balance at configurable intervals.
tabs: Detect when you have an active Devin tab and broadcast usage updates to it.
scripting: Inject the usage tracking widget into Devin pages when passive interception is unavailable.
host_permissions (claude.ai): Read Devin's billing API responses to extract your ACU usage data. This is the only domain accessed.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
This extension does not integrate with any third-party services. The optional "Buy Me a Coffee" link on the welcome and options pages is a standard external link that opens in your browser — it does not transmit any data from the extension.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If this policy is updated, the changes will be reflected here with an updated date. No data practices will change without updating this policy.
