DailyMoodTracker ("we", "us", or "our") is a mobile application developed as a personal mood tracking tool. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the app.
1. Information We Collect
DailyMoodTracker is a completely offline application. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data with third parties.
The only information the app processes is:
Mood entries you manually create (mood rating/emoji, optional note, date)
All data is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage (a secure, device-only storage system provided by React Native/Expo)
We do not collect:
Name, email, phone number, or any personal identifiers
Location data
Device identifiers (except for anonymous crash reporting if you enable it)
Any analytics or tracking data
2. Permissions
The app may request the following permissions (only when needed):
Notifications – to send you optional daily mood reminder notifications (you can disable this in app settings or device settings)
Camera / Photos (optional) – only if you choose to attach a photo to a mood entry
We do not access or use these permissions for any purpose other than the explicit feature you trigger.
3. Data Storage & Security
All mood entries and settings are stored only on your device.
No data leaves your phone — there are no servers, no cloud sync, no backups to our systems.
If you uninstall the app, all data is permanently deleted from your device.
4. Third-Party Services
The app uses the following third-party libraries (all processed locally on device):
Expo (for app framework)
React Native Chart Kit (for mood trend chart – runs locally)
Expo Notifications (for local scheduled reminders – no data sent to servers)
None of these libraries collect or transmit personal data in this implementation.
5. Children's Privacy
DailyMoodTracker is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided information, please contact us.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted in the app and/or on the Play Store listing. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
