You can **permanently delete your DailyMark account** and most associated personal data held on our servers.
### How to request deletion (self-service)
1. Open the **DailyMark** app and sign in.
2. Go to **Settings**.
3. Use **Delete account** (or the equivalent control labeled for account deletion).
4. Confirm when prompted. The app sends an authenticated request to our backend to erase your data and remove your login.
After a successful deletion, your session ends. You may still remove any remaining local data by **clearing app storage** or **uninstalling** the app on your device.
### What we delete (server-side)
When deletion completes successfully, we aim to remove:
- Your **authentication account** (you can no longer sign in with that email for this product).
- Your **profile** record (e.g. display name / username fields tied to your account).
- Your **daily entries** metadata and related rows in our database.
- **Drawing image files** stored for your account in our **gallery** storage (objects under your user prefix).
- **Analytics events** in our database that are stored with your user identifier.
### What may be retained (limited exceptions)
Some information may be **retained for a limited period** where required or permitted by law, for example:
- **Security and abuse-prevention logs** (may contain technical identifiers or IP data) for a short time.
- **Backups**: residual copies may persist until backup rotation completes, then age out.
- Data that is already **aggregated or de-identified** so it no longer identifies you.
We do not use retained data to resurrect your account or to market to you after deletion.
### If you cannot use the app
If you are unable to complete self-service deletion (for example, you lost access to your device), email us at the address in **Contact** below from the **same email address** used for your account and ask for **account deletion**. We may need to verify ownership before processing.
### Partial deletion (without account closure)
DailyMark is built around a single account and synced diary. We do **not** currently offer a separate in-product flow to delete **only part** of your cloud data while keeping the same account. Deleting individual days locally does not by itself erase server copies until normal sync rules apply; **account deletion** is the way to remove your personal data from our service as described above.
## Your Choices and Rights
You can:
- Access/update your profile data where available.
- Sign out at any time.
- Permanently delete your account and associated server-held data as described in **Account and data deletion**, or contact us if you cannot use the app.
Depending on your region, you may have additional rights (access, deletion, correction, portability, objection).
## Children
DailyMark is not directed to children under the minimum age required by applicable law in their jurisdiction.
## Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
## International Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, subject to applicable safeguards.
## Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the latest version with the updated date.
