Privacy Policy — CramMap

CramMap ("we", "our", "the app") is a campus study spot crowding app. Your privacy matters to us.
1. Data We Collect
Anonymous Identifier: Firebase Authentication creates an anonymous user ID not linked to any personal information.
Location Data: We access your location only while the app is open to determine which building you are near. We do not track your location in the background.
Check-in Data: We store anonymous user ID, location ID, and timestamps to calculate real-time crowding.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
- Names, email addresses, or phone numbers
- Passwords or payment information
- Photos, contacts, or messages
- Background location data
3. How We Use Your Data
- To show real-time crowding levels
- To automatically check you in near a building
- To improve crowding estimates
4. Third-Party Services
CramMap uses Firebase by Google. See Firebase Privacy Policy at firebase.google.com/support/privacy
5. Data Retention
Check-in records are anonymous. Stale check-ins (20+ min inactive) are automatically ended.
6. Data Deletion
Delete all data from the Settings tab in the app.
7. Children's Privacy
Not directed at children under 13.
