Privacy Policy - Learn2CountChinese
Last updated: February 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Learn2CountChinese handles information when you use the app.
1) Data we collect
The app is designed to collect the minimum data needed to provide learning features.
A) Data stored on your device
Learning progress and game history
App settings (including analytics preference)
Local audio/speech state used for gameplay
B) Data sent to our analytics backend (only if you enable analytics)
Anonymous installation identifier (installId)
Technical metadata: app version, platform, timestamps
Learning progression snapshot (for example: total games, total score, accuracy, level progress, streak, and progression curve points)
Session summaries included in progression snapshots (mode, range, score, mistakes, duration, answered count)
We do not collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, or precise location.
2) Analytics consent (opt-in)
At first launch, the app asks whether you want to enable anonymous analytics.
If you accept, anonymous analytics snapshots are sent to our backend.
If you refuse, no analytics event is sent.
You can change this choice anytime in Settings (“Anonymous learning analytics”).
3) How we use data
We use data to:
Save and display your learning progress on your current device
Improve exercises and learning experience
Measure anonymous learning outcomes (for example progression over time)
Maintain app reliability and quality
The app does not provide account-based cloud sync. Uninstalling the app removes local on-device progress.
4) Data sharing
We do not sell your data and we do not use your data for advertising.
We use infrastructure providers to operate the service:
Cloudflare (hosting and API infrastructure)
Cloudflare may process network metadata (such as IP/User-Agent) in service logs for security and operations.
We do not store IP addresses in our analytics database tables.
5) Data retention
On-device data remains on your device until you clear app data or uninstall the app.
Analytics snapshots stored on our backend are retained until deleted or rotated by our operations policy.
6) Your choices and rights
You can disable analytics at any time in app Settings.
You can uninstall the app to remove local app data from your device.
You can contact us for privacy requests (access/deletion questions). Since we use an anonymous identifier, requests should include any relevant app details that help us locate records.
7) Children and tracking
We do not use third-party ad tracking.
We do not perform cross-app tracking.
8) Policy changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will reflect the latest version.
