# Privacy Policy for CaseSnap
Effective date: May 23, 2026
CaseSnap is a mobile detective puzzle game. This policy explains what data the app collects and how it is used.
## Data Collection
CaseSnap does not collect personal data.
The app does not require an account, email address, phone number, location, contacts, camera, microphone, or photos.
## Local Game Progress
CaseSnap stores game progress locally on the device, including found clues, solved cases, stars, hint usage, wrong attempts, onboarding flags, hint token balance, settings, owned product IDs, active subscription product IDs reported by Google Play Billing, and processed purchase IDs or purchase-token keys used to prevent duplicate local grants. This data is used only to keep the player's progress and purchases between sessions.
Local progress is not sent to a server by this app.
## Data Sharing
CaseSnap does not share user data with third parties.
## Advertising and Purchases
CaseSnap does not include ads.
CaseSnap includes optional Google Play in-app purchases for five hint token packs, a cosmetic detective desk theme, and three independent subscription products. Payment processing and subscription status are handled by Google Play. CaseSnap does not collect or store payment card information, and the current offline-first build does not send purchase tokens to a CaseSnap server.
## Children
CaseSnap is designed as a general puzzle game. It does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
## Security
Progress data is stored locally using platform storage. Because no personal data is collected or transmitted by the app, there is no server-side account data to protect.

## Changes
This policy may be updated when the app adds new features. If data collection changes, the Google Play Data Safety form and this policy should be updated before release.
