This Privacy Policy describes how BarBook ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our mobile application. Please read this policy carefully.

1. OVERVIEW

BarBook is an offline-only bar management application. The App does not require an account, login, or internet connection to function. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.

2. DATA STORED LOCALLY ON YOUR DEVICE

All data you enter into BarBook is stored exclusively on your device using a local SQLite database. This includes:
• Cocktail recipes, photos, ingredients, and steps
• Inventory items and stock levels
• Order records and order items
• Customer names, phone numbers, and email addresses
• Application settings (theme, language)
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to create and share a backup file.

3. DATA RETENTION

Your data is retained on your device for as long as the App is installed. The App does not impose any automatic expiration or deletion of your data.
You are in full control of your data at all times.

4. HOW TO DELETE YOUR DATA
─────────────────────────────────────
You can delete your data at any time using any of the following methods:
a) Delete individual records: Within the App, you can delete any cocktail recipe, inventory item, order, or customer profile directly from their respective screens using the delete button.
b) Clear all app data: Go to your device's Settings → Apps → BarBook → Storage → Clear Data. This will permanently remove all data stored by the App on your device.
c) Uninstall the App: Uninstalling BarBook from your device will permanently delete all locally stored data, including the SQLite database and any saved photos.
Once deleted using any of the methods above, data cannot be recovered unless you have previously created a backup.

5. BACKUP FILES

The App allows you to create a backup ZIP file containing your database and recipe photos. This backup is saved to your device's temporary storage and can be shared to any destination you choose (email, cloud storage, etc.). We have no access to these backup files. You are solely responsible for any backup files you create and share.

6. ADVERTISING — GOOGLE ADMOB

BarBook displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Google AdMob may collect and use certain information to serve relevant advertisements, including:
• Device identifiers (such as Advertising ID)
• IP address
• General location (country/region level)
• App interaction data
This data is collected and processed by Google LLC under their own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We do not control or have access to data collected by Google AdMob.

7. PERMISSIONS

The App may request the following permissions:
• Camera / Photo Library: Used only when you choose to add a photo to a cocktail recipe. Photos are saved locally on your device.
• Storage (Android 12 and below): Required to read and write backup ZIP files.
• Internet: Required solely for displaying AdMob advertisements. No personal app data is transmitted.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

BarBook is intended for use by adults (18+), as it is a professional tool for bar and beverage management. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided information through this App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
