This privacy policy governs your use of the software application wcam (“background recorder”) for mobile devices that was created by JoZe, designed for recording video in the background.

The Application does not require user registration or personal identification, allowing for offline use. While no user information is collected, Google's Firebase is included for non-identifying app interactions and crash reports.
To provide core functionality within the application, a thumbnail may be used to list recorded video in a future version of wcam. This data is handled in accordance with our strict data minimisation practices to ensure it is non-identifying and used solely for application operation.
Third-Party Analytics Services
We use Google Analytics for Firebase (Firebase Analytics) to better understand how users interact with our application, which helps us continuously improve our features, performance, and user experience.
a) Data Collected Automatically
Firebase Analytics automatically tracks certain non-identifiable information when you use the application. This data includes, but is not limited to:
Device Metrics: Device ID, Device model, operating system version, and system language.
Identifiers: Mobile advertising identifiers (such as Android's Advertising ID and Apple's IDFA) and unique Firebase installation IDs.
App Activity: App launches, screen views, session duration, user retention metrics, in-app events, and crash event details.
b) Purpose of Data Processing
The data collected is processed strictly for the following purposes:
To monitor and analyze application performance, stability, and usage patterns.
To optimize application functionality and design based on user engagement.
To generate aggregated, anonymous statistics regarding our user base.
c) Data Sharing and Third-Party Policies
Because our application utilizes anonymous authentication, no personally identifiable credentials (such as your legal name, explicit email address, phone number, or physical street address) are ever bound to this analytics data or shared with Google.

The application does not request GPS access, and therefore does not collect location data.
