AquaLog — Aquaculture Farm Management App

This Privacy Policy describes how AquaLog ("the App", "we", "our") handles information when you use our mobile application.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

AquaLog does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information with us or any third party.

All data you enter into the app — including pond records, water quality logs, feeding logs, health records, harvest data, and expense records — is stored exclusively on your own device using a local SQLite database. This data never leaves your device unless you manually export a backup file using the app's built-in backup feature.

The only exception is advertising: AquaLog uses Google AdMob to display banner advertisements. Google AdMob may collect certain non-personal, anonymized device information to serve relevant ads. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy for details on how Google handles this data.

2. DATA STORAGE AND RETENTION

All app data (ponds, logs, records, settings) is stored locally on your device in an SQLite database file. We do not store any of your data on remote servers or cloud services.

Your data remains on your device for as long as the app is installed. It is not automatically sent anywhere or retained by us at any time.

3. HOW TO DELETE YOUR DATA

You have full control over your data. You can delete your data at any time using one or more of the following methods:

a) Delete individual records — Use the delete option within the app to remove specific ponds, logs, or entries.

b) Uninstall the app — Uninstalling AquaLog from your device will permanently delete the local database and all associated data.

c) Clear app data — On Android, go to Settings → Apps → AquaLog → Storage → Clear Data. This will permanently erase all app data from your device.

Since we do not store your data on any server, there is no data held by us that requires a deletion request to us.

4. BACKUP FILES

The app provides a manual backup feature that exports your local database as a ZIP file. This file is saved to your device's storage or shared via apps you choose (e.g., email, cloud storage). We do not receive or have access to these backup files. You are solely responsible for managing any backup files you create.

5. ADVERTISING (GOOGLE ADMOB)

AquaLog displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers and anonymous usage signals to serve ads. We do not have access to the advertising data collected by Google.

To opt out of personalized advertising, you can adjust your device settings:

- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

AquaLog is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since all data is stored locally and we collect no personal information, there is no risk of children's data being transmitted to us.

7. PERMISSIONS

AquaLog may request the following device permissions:

• Storage / Files — To export and import backup ZIP files.

• Internet — Required by Google AdMob to display advertisements.

No other sensitive permissions are requested or used.

8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
