Breathing Exercises (listed on Google Play as "Box Breathing & 4-7-8 Timer") is a breathing app for Android made by Danroot. This policy explains what data the app handles. It matches the Data safety section of the app's Google Play listing.
Your streak, your minutes and sessions, the exercises you create, and your settings (reminders, language, type of guidance and the goal you picked when you started) are saved only on your device. They are never sent to us or to anyone else, and they are deleted when you uninstall the app.
The app has no accounts and no login, and we do not run any server that receives your data. Because there is no account, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
A few features work entirely on your phone:
Voice guide. The app passes the name of each phase ("Inhale", "Hold", "Exhale") to your phone's text-to-speech engine. We do not receive anything.
Reminders. They are scheduled on your phone. The app does not register your device for push messages and does not create a push token.
Ambient sounds. They are files inside the app. Nothing is streamed or downloaded.
Sharing an exercise. When you choose to share one of your exercises, the app creates a link that contains the exercise and opens your phone's share menu. The link goes only where you send it. We never receive it.
Rating the app. If the app asks for a rating, the rating window belongs to Google Play. Your rating and review go to Google Play, not to us.
The app does not use your microphone, camera, contacts, files or precise location, and it does not ask for those permissions.
The app shows ads through Google AdMob: a full-screen ad can appear when you finish a session, at most once every three sessions, and never during a session or in sleep mode. The Google Mobile Ads SDK built into the app automatically collects and shares with Google:
your device's IP address, which can be used to estimate your general location;
your interactions with the app and its ads, such as app launches, taps and ads viewed;
diagnostic information, such as app launch time, hang rate and energy use;
device identifiers, including the Android advertising ID and the app set ID.
Google uses this data for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. All of it is encrypted in transit. The SDK collects it whenever ads can be shown, so it is not optional inside the app outside the regions described below. Ad requests also include four fixed words that describe the app (meditation, health, relax, wellness). They are the same for every user and contain no information about you.
Where the law requires your consent for personalized ads (for example, in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), the app asks for it the first time you open it. You can change your choice at any time from Settings › Privacy › Privacy options in the app. That option appears where consent is required.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings under Settings › Google › Ads (the path can vary by manufacturer).
What the app saves on your phone stays there until you delete it in the app (for example, a custom exercise) or uninstall the app.
We keep no data, because we receive none.
The data collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is kept by Google according to its own policy, linked above.
Breathing Exercises is a general wellness app. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Your practice history is not health data that we collect: it stays on your phone.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Change your ad consent from Settings › Privacy › Privacy options in the app, where required.
Reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings.
Turn reminders off in Settings › Reminders in the app, or block the app's notifications in your phone's settings.
Uninstall the app to delete everything it saved on your phone.
