# Flowmo: Focus & Flow Privacy Policy
**Contact:** ilyaza19@gmail.com
This Privacy Policy explains how Flowmo: Focus & Flow ("Flowmo," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Flowmo mobile application and its optional online chat service (collectively, the "Service").
This policy must be read together with the Terms of Service. It describes the current app's data flows and must be kept accurate if the app, backend, AI provider, analytics, advertising, or other third-party services change.
## 1. Summary
- Your tasks, task notes, focus-session history, guide-completion history, and preferences are stored locally on your device.
- If you choose to use online Chat, the app sends an anonymous installation identifier, authentication tokens, chat-session metadata, and your chat messages to our server so the online feature can work.
- We use Google Firebase Analytics to measure app usage and improve core product flows. Analytics events do not include task titles or notes, Chat text, brain-dump text, assessment answers, selected goals, or guide titles.
- We do not ask the app for contacts, photos, location, microphone, camera, or Health Connect data.
- Flowmo is not a medical or treatment service. Do not put sensitive health, clinical, or identity information in Chat.
- We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
## 2. Information we handle
### A. Information stored locally on your device
The app stores the following information in its local app storage:
- tasks, including titles, descriptions, priority, completion state, and scheduled date;
- focus-session details, including task title, duration, timing, sound selection, and completion/interruption state;
- guide-completion records;
- app preferences, such as onboarding state, selected goals, notification and vibration choices, and first-launch date; and
- a locally generated installation identifier and the credentials needed to use the online Chat service.
This information is used to provide the app's core functionality. It remains on your device unless you delete it through the app where available, clear app storage, or uninstall the app.
### B. Information processed for online Chat
When you choose to use the online Chat feature, we process:
- an anonymously generated installation identifier, user identifier, and authentication/refresh tokens;
- chat-session identifiers, titles, creation and update times;
- the messages you send and the automated responses returned to you; and
- technical information needed to deliver and secure the online service, which may include IP address, device/network information, request logs, and error logs.
Chat messages may contain personal information if you choose to provide it. Please do not submit passwords, payment information, government IDs, precise location, medical records, or other highly sensitive information. Do not submit another person's personal information unless you have a lawful basis to do so.
### C. Analytics information
We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect limited app-usage and technical information, including:
- app launches and screen views;
- onboarding progression;
- task actions using coarse categories, such as created, completed, skipped, or deleted;
- focus-session source, selected sound mode, planned and actual duration, and whether the session was completed or interrupted;
- guide start/completion using source, card count, and elapsed time;
- online Chat feature actions, such as session creation, message send, response mode, and session deletion, without message or response content;
- emergency-reset start, completion, or the last step reached, without brain-dump content; and
- device, app, operating-system, approximate location derived from IP address, app-instance identifiers, and other technical data that Firebase Analytics collects automatically.
We deliberately do not send task titles or descriptions, task notes, Chat messages or responses, Chat/session identifiers, brain-dump text, assessment answers, selected goals, guide titles, or exception messages to Firebase Analytics.
### D. Information we do not request through the app
The app does not request access to your contacts, photos, videos, microphone, camera, precise location, or Health Connect data. The app does request Android notification permission so it can show focus-timer notifications; you may decline or revoke that permission at any time.
## 3. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, maintain, and personalize the task, timer, guide, and preference features;
- create and maintain an anonymous online Chat session and generate a response when you choose to use Chat;
- deliver requested notifications and keep a focus countdown visible while a focus session is running;
- understand onboarding, task, focus, guide, Chat, and emergency-reset feature usage and improve the Service; and
- protect the Service, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and maintain security; and
- comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms.
We do not use your information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
## 4. Legal bases where applicable
Where privacy law requires a legal basis, we process local and online-service data to perform our contract with you and provide requested features. We may process limited technical information for our legitimate interests in security, fraud prevention, and service reliability. We rely on consent where required, including for permissions that Android presents to you. You may withdraw permission in Android settings; this does not affect prior processing.
## 5. How we share information
We may disclose information only as needed to operate the Service:
- **Service providers.** Hosting, networking, storage, security, and automated-response/AI processing providers that process data under our instructions to provide the online Chat feature.
- **Analytics provider.** Google processes Firebase Analytics data to provide usage measurement and reporting. Google's handling of this data is governed by its applicable Firebase and privacy terms.
- **Legal and safety reasons.** When we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, or the Service.
- **Business transfer.** In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law.
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly provide Chat content to advertisers.
## 6. Retention and deletion
Local app information is retained on your device until you remove it, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app.
Online Chat session content is retained on our server for as long as the relevant session exists, unless a longer period is necessary for legal, security, or dispute-resolution reasons. You can delete individual Chat sessions from the Chat interface. To request deletion of online Chat data associated with your anonymous installation, contact **ilyaza19@gmail.com** and provide the support information requested to identify the installation without sending sensitive content by email.
Firebase Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings configured for our Google Analytics property and may be aggregated in reports. Resetting or uninstalling the app can cause Firebase to create a new app-instance identifier if the app is installed again.
We will delete or de-identify online information when it is no longer needed for the purposes described in this Policy, subject to applicable legal obligations. Before launch, the Service operator must document and publish the actual production retention period for server logs, backups, and AI-provider processing.
## 7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. Online requests are sent to the production service over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your device secure and avoid submitting sensitive information in Chat.
## 8. International processing
Information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live, including where our service providers operate. Those countries may have data-protection laws that differ from your local laws. Where required, we will use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
## 9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or objection to processing of your personal information, and to data portability. You may also have the right to withdraw consent and to complain to a data-protection authority.
To exercise a right, contact **ilyaza19@gmail.com**. We may need to verify your request and may retain limited information where required or permitted by law. You can control local data directly by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app, and you can revoke notification permission in Android settings.
## 10. Children
Flowmo is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Service, contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
## 11. Medical and mental-health notice
Flowmo is a general productivity and wellness tool. **It is not a medical device and is not designed to diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, monitor, or manage ADHD or any other health condition. It is not therapy, clinical advice, crisis support, or a treatment plan.**
Task choices, focus history, goals, and Chat messages can reveal information about your routines, well-being, or health. Handle them carefully. Do not use Flowmo in an emergency or as a replacement for a qualified healthcare professional, diagnosis, medication, psychotherapy, or other treatment. If you need urgent help or are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a qualified crisis or healthcare service.
## 12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the Service, legal requirements, or our data practices. We will post the updated version and revise the effective date. Material changes will be communicated through the app or another reasonable method when required by law.
## 13. Contact and operator details
For privacy questions or requests, contact **ilyaza19@gmail.com**.
**Before publication:** insert the verified legal entity name, registered business address, and privacy contact for the developer named in the Google Play listing. Google Play requires the privacy policy to identify either the developer entity named in the listing or the app, and the published policy and Data safety form must accurately match actual data practices.
