MessageCipher does not require you to create an account and does not collect personal information such as your name, address, phone number, or contacts.

The App may process the following locally on your device:

Text you enter to encrypt or decrypt

Encryption keys/passphrases you enter

2) How Your Data Is Used

The text and keys you enter are used only to perform encryption/decryption inside the App.

We do not send your message content or keys to our servers.

3) Data Storage

By default, MessageCipher is designed to work without storing your plaintext messages or keys on our servers.

Any app settings or preferences are stored locally on your device (if applicable).

4) Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information.

Your encrypted text may be shared by you using iOS sharing features (e.g., Messages, Mail, other apps). This sharing is initiated by you and governed by the receiving app’s privacy practices.

5) Third-Party Services

The App may rely on standard platform services (e.g., Apple iOS services) necessary to run the application. If the App uses analytics or crash reporting in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly.

6) Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your encryption key private—anyone with the key may be able to decrypt the message.

7) Children’s Privacy

MessageCipher is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App or on the page where this policy is published, along with an updated effective date.
