Welcome to Doc Reader. We are committed to providing you with file viewing and management tools while prioritizing your privacy and data security. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you interact with our application.
Doc Reader is designed to function as a local utility tool. We do not require account registration, and we do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) to perform basic functions.
Device Information: We may access basic technical data, such as your device model, operating system version, and language settings. This helps us ensure application compatibility and performance across different hardware configurations.
Usage Data: We may collect anonymous, aggregated statistics regarding feature usage. This data is utilized solely to analyze performance trends and maintain application stability.
All document processing tasks—including viewing, editing, converting, merging, and scanning—are performed locally on your device. We do not upload, store, or monitor the content of your personal files on external servers. Locally cached files generated during use remain on your device and can be cleared manually by removing app data or uninstalling the application.
To provide its core features, Doc Reader requests access to specific device capabilities. You can manage these permissions at any time through your device system settings:
Storage / All Files Access: Required to allow the application to locate, view, edit, and save documents stored on your device.
Camera: Requested only when using the scan feature to capture images of physical pages for document generation.
Foreground Service: Utilized for its document monitoring feature. This service allows the application to detect newly added PDF files on the device without being interrupted by system background restrictions. Maintaining a foreground presence ensures reliable task execution and prompt file discovery.
We may incorporate third-party service providers (such as advertising networks or analytics tools) to support application maintenance. These partners may access pseudonymous identifiers, such as Advertising IDs, in accordance with their respective privacy policies to deliver relevant content and analyze system stability. These third parties do not have access to your personal files or documents.
We implement standard security measures designed to safeguard the limited technical data processed by the application. Because document management occurs locally on your device and files are not transferred to cloud storage, risks regarding remote data exposure are minimized.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect modifications in our practices or changes in regulatory requirements. Modifications become effective immediately upon publication within the application. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed.
