This Privacy Policy explains how Privacy Display: Screen Guard (“Privacy Display,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use our Android application (the “App”).
Privacy Display provides screen-privacy tools, including screen dimming, privacy patterns, screen guard overlays, notification privacy controls, app selection, widgets, Shake to Panic, contact privacy, and optional Premium features.
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
We access information only when it is needed to provide a feature that you choose to use.
The App may access information about installed apps. If you grant Android Usage Access, the App may also identify the app currently in use.
We use this information to:
Let you select apps for privacy protection.
Apply a selected privacy overlay or privacy mode to chosen apps.
Show installed apps in app-selection and notification-privacy screens.
Provide app-specific privacy controls.
Installed-app and usage information is handled locally on your device. We do not sell this information.
If you enable Notification Privacy and grant Notification Listener access, the App can identify notifications from other apps so that it can block or allow them according to your chosen settings.
For this feature, the App uses notification package identifiers, notification keys, and timing information to determine whether a notification should be blocked. The current App feature does not store notification titles or notification message text. If notification history is enabled, the App stores a limited local history of blocked notification app package names and timestamps, up to 100 entries.
This information is stored locally on your device and is used only for the Notification Privacy feature. You can revoke Notification Listener access at any time in Android Settings.
On Android 13 and later, the App may request notification permission. This permission allows the App to show an ongoing notification when a user-enabled privacy feature, such as Tilt Shield, Screen Guard, or Shake to Panic, is active.
The ongoing notification informs you that privacy protection is running and provides a way to turn it off. You can disable this permission in Android Settings.
If you choose to use Contact Privacy and grant Contacts permission, the App may access contact names and contact identifiers from your device.
This is used only to display contacts inside the Contact Privacy screen and save your selected hidden-contact preferences locally. The App does not modify your system Contacts app, upload your contacts to our servers, or sell contact information.
You can revoke Contacts permission at any time in Android Settings.
The App stores settings you choose, including:
Selected privacy mode, dim intensity, and privacy pattern.
Selected apps and app-specific privacy preferences.
Notification blocking, schedules, allow lists, and local history.
Shake to Panic preferences.
Widget and Quick Settings Tile preferences.
Contact Privacy selections.
Optional local PIN or app-lock preferences.
Trial, purchase, and Premium entitlement status.
Most of these settings are stored locally on your device.
The App may request the Android “Display over other apps” permission. This permission is used only for features that need to display a privacy overlay, dim screen, privacy pattern, screen guard, fake crash visual, floating control, or Shake to Panic protection over other apps.
The App does not use this permission to capture your screen, record your screen, read your passwords, or inspect content displayed by other apps.
If you enable Privacy Lock, the App may use Android’s biometric or device-lock system to help protect selected App areas.
Your fingerprint, face data, and device credential are processed by Android and your device. The App does not receive, store, or transmit your biometric template.
The free version of the App may use Google services, including:
Google Mobile Ads / AdMob
Google User Messaging Platform for advertising consent where applicable
Firebase Analytics
Firebase Realtime Database for App-controlled ad configuration
These services may collect or process information such as device information, app instance identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location inferred from IP address, app interactions, diagnostics, ad interactions, and ad-performance information.
We use these services to:
Show and measure advertisements in the free version.

You may manage advertising and consent preferences through Android settings, Google settings, or consent choices shown in the App where available.
If you purchase Premium, start a free trial, restore a purchase, or manage a subscription, purchases are processed by Google Play Billing.
We may receive limited purchase-status information, such as whether your Premium entitlement is active, expired, restored, cancelled, or trial-eligible. We do not receive or store your complete payment-card information.
Google Play handles payment processing according to its own policies.
We use information only to:
