COVID Vaccination Provider

Mission:

UCM is beginning to roll out its COVID-19 vaccination plan for employees. In order to vaccinate employees efficiently, UCM is calling on medical volunteers from across the hospital system to help vaccinate fellow UCM employees.


*This is a HICS-associated volunteer opportunity. Please know, that while UCM will be using this first shipment of vaccines to vaccinate the highest risk healthcare workers, medical students will be prioritized for future rounds of vaccine administration. COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution – Volunteer Vaccinators Needed

Number of medical students requested: 30 - 50

Duration: Dec 1 – Dec 13, Sunday – Saturday/ 7 days per week

(Opportunities will also be available during the second half of December. UCMC will be following CDC guidance, so these dates are subject to change)

Brief Description of role: Administration of vaccine to UCM Health Care Workers. Medical students will join other clinicians in administering the vaccine at on campus sites. All vaccinators will have the option to receive the vaccine.

Requirements: Current Pritzker medical students. Please do not sign up if you are on a clerkship or on days/times you are scheduled to take part in a Pritzker course. If you have questions regarding requirements, please reach out to the Pritzker Chiefs.

Time commitment: Sixteen vaccinators in eight vaccine stations will operate two shifts per day with shift 1 operating 6:00 am to 2:00 pm and shift 2 operating 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Both shifts will operate 7 days a week (Sunday – Saturday) from Dec 1 to Dec 13. (If you are not able to participate in a full shift, you may still be able to volunteer. Please note this in the redcap form below)
