Prithvi Sangani is a Prime Minister's Research Fellow (PMRF) in the structural engineering division of the Department of Civil Engineering at IIT Hyderabad. He earned his Bachelor of Technology degree from NIT Calicut, Kerala, in 2015, after which he gained four years of experience working in the construction industry. He later joined IIT Hyderabad as a direct Ph.D. student in structural engineering. His current research focuses on the condition assessment of damaged tubular members, material characterization of metals under extreme loading conditions, and experimental and numerical studies of impact loading on steel columns
