I was born in Kolkata, India on April 20th, 1998. Right from childhood, my parents encouraged me to learn musical instruments and participate in extracurricular activities to add value to my education. I have been trained in a South-Asian musical instrument Tabla for seven years and in public speaking and voice training for four years.
My schooling has been in the Kendriya Vidyalaya in West Bengal, India. In my schooling years, I have participated in a bunch of public speaking events ranging from being an emcee, debates, speeches and extempore.
In 2016, I completed my senior secondary school with a certificate in Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English Literature. In 2017, I wrote the pre-university entrance test for medical science successfully and secured an opportunity to be admitted to medical school. However, I chose to study economics and public policy instead of medicine at one of India's best institution, the Indian Institute of Technology.
I entered the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Madras in July 2017. I hold a master's degree in development studies with a minor in economics. My research project is in the area of applied industrial economics and economics of innovation.
At present, I am associated with the South Eastern Coalfields Limited (a Subsidiary of Coal India Limited) and I am based out of Raigarh Area. Here, I am an Management Trainee in the Community Development cadre.
I look forward to engage in some impact-oriented work and research in the areas of corporate sustainability, just transition and public policy.
