I am Pritam Jyoti Borah and welcome to my personal homepage. Presently I am a Postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at University of California Irvine, USA. Broadly I study precipitation variability under future climate change as a part of Prof Efi Foufoula-Georgiou's research group.
I completed my PhD research in Indian monsoon rainfall under the supervision of Prof V. Venugopal. The primary goal of my PhD was to understand the role of extratropical dynamics in causing severe rainfall deficit over India during monsoon. I studied characteristics and mechanism of both historical droughts and rainfall deficit in normal monsoon years that happened without tropical influence. Find more about my work and interest in respective pages.
