Prism EQ is a browser extension that lets users adjust the audio of content playing in a browser tab (equalizer, volume, bass/treble, reverb, spatial audio, and a live spectrum visualizer).
Prism EQ does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. All audio processing happens locally, on your device, inside your browser.
The only information Prism EQ stores is:
Your per-tab EQ settings
Your saved/named custom presets
This data is kept entirely in your browser's local extension storage. It never leaves your device, is never sent to any server, and is not accessible to the developer or any third party.
Prism EQ requests only the permissions needed to function:
Access to capture or process audio from a tab you've explicitly enabled the extension on
Display of the extension's interface (side panel or sidebar)
Local storage of your settings and presets
Identification of the active tab, so the extension knows which tab's audio you're shaping
None of these permissions are used to track browsing history, collect analytics, or transmit data anywhere.
Prism EQ runs entirely from the code included in the extension package. It does not load or execute any remote scripts.
Prism EQ does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same location with a revised "Last updated" date.
