Free Health and mental awareness event featuring health screenings, community resources, giveaways, trap yoga, mediation & hustle classes.
All participants that are screened or attends a class will be provided free entry into the evening event.
We hosted a workshop to create a collaborative space where GSA Advisors are given the resources, strategies, and tools to start a GSA or strengthen their current GSA. During the workshop, advisors were given resources and time to plan and prepare their GSA goals for the year.
We hosted a vendor booth at Southwest Fest, an art and music festival in Southwest Detroit.
PRISM Detroit hosted an event at Dyno Detroit Climbing Gym for anyone interested in learning about our mission and work. We climbed, networked, and enjoyed delicious tacos!
Congress of Communities' Lavender Society hosted a Queer Prom for Detroit LGBTQIA+ youth. PRISM Detroit sponsored the event through our Gender-Sexuality Alliance Scholarship Fund.

We shared resources with educators and students at DPSCD's 2nd Annual Pride Festival on Saturday, June 18th!
Our GSA advisor network joined together for community-building and resource-sharing! We discussed how to develop and strengthen GSAs in schools.
With the help of our community, we raised $1,500 for our Gender-Sexuality Alliance Scholarship Fund!
PRISM kicked off the 2021-2022 school year in 90s style! We collected school supplies for the LGBTQ+ youth at the Ruth Ellis Center!
We celebrated Pride Month with an outdoor drag show & dance party at Eastern Market Brewing!
We celebrated the end of the 2020-2021 school year (and our vaccinations) with Detroit-area LGBTQ+ educators at the Ferndale Project.
A virtual trivia night dedicated to queer love!
With the help of our community, we collected 25 bags of winter clothes to the Ruth Ellis Center.
