Printer - Privacy Policy

Effective date: 1 November 2026

This policy explains how the Printer app ("Printer", "we") handles information. In short: Printer does not collect, sell or share your personal data. Your documents stay on your device unless you choose to export, print or share them.

Information we do not collect

No account. Printer has no sign-up or sign-in.

No advertising or tracking. Printer contains no ads, no advertising identifiers, no analytics and no third-party tracking tools.

No servers. Printer has no server of its own. We do not receive your documents, photos, scans or converted files.

Documents, camera, photos and files

Camera: used only when you choose to scan a document or take a photo. Images are processed on your device.

Photos: Printer uses Apple's photo picker, so it receives only the images you select.

Files: Printer uses Apple's document picker. It opens only the files you choose and saves exports only where you choose. Cloud services you have enabled in the Files app are handled by iOS and those providers, not by Printer.

Processing: scanning, cleanup, text recognition and conversion to Word, Excel, text or CSV run on your device using Apple's frameworks.

Storage: your library is stored in Printer's private storage on your device and in your device backups. Deleting a document or the app removes it from Printer.

Printing and sharing

Printing uses Apple's AirPrint: iOS sends the document directly to the printer you select. When you share or export a file, it goes to the app or location you choose, under that recipient's own privacy terms.

Purchases

Printer Premium subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment details. Printer checks your subscription status with Apple's StoreKit on your device. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.

Feedback by email

If you choose to send feedback from Settings, your Mail app sends us your message and email address. We use them only to reply, and we do not share them.

Children

Printer is a general productivity app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
