We are entirely volunteer-run and have two elected Co-Presidents, an elected Secretary, a group of School Liaisons, and Committee Members.
We are excited to announce that Roselyn Riley-Ryan joins Jennifer Nicosia as Co-President and Kathy Jensen will serve as Secretary, following the elections at our May 2026 Coffee Chat.
These roles are effective immediately and the board will finalize the transition by notifying SPAN and the New Jersey Department of Education of the new leadership team by the June 1 deadline. We look forward to another year of fostering a network of advice and support for our families and students.
Please join us in welcoming our new leadership as we continue to provide input on system-level issues to enhance programs and services for students with disabilities.

School Liaisons are the parent/caregiver volunteers who can help you navigate the special education process; share feedback (both positive and negative!) with the District; and connect with other families.
If you have an issue related to your child's special education programming, make sure to let your School Liaison know so they can help voice your concerns or get your questions answered.
School Liaisons are unelected volunteers who have at least one child enrolled in the school they represent. Their duties include:
a. Serve as a point person for special education related matters for their designated school;
b. Serve on the PTO Executive Board of their designated school (if applicable);
c. Attend PTO meetings for their designated school;
d. Communicate the Princeton SEPAG’s priorities, programs, and activities throughout their designated school;
e. Meet with the principal of their designated school at least twice per year to discuss the Princeton SEPAG’s priorities and how these priorities can be applied to the individual school;
f. Report special education related matters trending at their designated schools to the Princeton SEPAG Co-Presidents and Secretary;
g. Attend Princeton SEPAG general meetings.
We'd love to learn more about you and potentially have you join our leadership team. You can read more about the role in this guide from SPAN Parent Advocacy Network, then view our open positions and email us at princetonsepag@gmail.com.
