The Pathfinder Club is a worldwide organization of young people sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Our Pathfinder Club is still young, it was started in early January of 2023. This Club is similar to scouts, however, the Pathfinder Club has a Christian religious foundation. This club is designed for kids aged 10 years up to 16 years. Its purpose is to guide young men and women on the correct path to Christ. However, our club isn't limited to Seventh-Day Adventists, all are welcome to join. Our Pathfinders are trained and exposed to life-shaping skills such as leadership and organization skills, teamwork, Community Service, outdoor camping skills, dietary knowledge and health, hygiene and personal grooming, basic science and engineering skills, bible study, Safety skills, survival skills, and technology awareness, etiquette, and mannerism. All this and more is taught for us to get closer to God. We have grown to a group of 11 Pathfinders, hopefully with more people joining. Please reach out to our club director, Bro. Anthony Irungu for more details at pathfindersprincetonwarriors@gmail.com
At the beginning of Pathfinders, there were only four group members. We began Pathfinders and immediately started preparing for the Pathfinder Bible Experience, or Bible Bowl. At the first Bible Bowl competition of 2023, the Princeton Warriors were the only team that wasn't full. Every other team had six members. During the competition, we stayed alert, answered the questions carefully, and tied for first place. We were very happy with how well we had done and we were thankful for being able to move on to the next round. Later on, we found out that in the next round, we were competing with about 70 other churches. We again realized we were one of the only unfilled teams, and by God's grace, we tied for first place in the competition a second time. In the third competition, unlike the other two, the match was in the morning, out of state, however, even with us all working hard as a team, we were not able to proceed to the final competition because of our score, however, we thanked God that we had made it as far as we did. In order to look for ways to prepare, make sure to check the "Pathfinder Bible Bowl "page regularly.
In the next few months, we recruited new Pathfinders, until we grew to a group of 11 Pathfinders, which began an informal "break" that lasted throughout the summer. During this break, we attended the New Jersey Conference camporee for the year. During this camp, we made new friends from other Pathfinder clubs enjoyed ourselves, and appreciated our surroundings. We also had some family of the Pathfinders attend the camporee. The New Jersey Conference camporee is a warm-up for the International camporee in Gillette, Wyoming. More information on that can be found on the "Schedule" page.
