Also known as the CPA, this building is found on a corner of ISU, on the opposite side of campus from Milner Library and the Bone Center. It houses both a theatre and a concert hall, and is used for performances as well as the occasional meeting or class.
This area is in the lobby at the front of the building. The box office is where people purchase tickets or get other key information and answers. You can learn more, such as about tickets, policies, and accessibility options, on the box office site linked here.
Elsewhere in the main lobby/hallway area at the front of the building, you can find more restrooms, a second staircase to reach seats on the upper level, a miniature replication of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, and various seating options.
Shown here are the rows of cushioned seats and part of the stage. Stairs to the middle section of seats are available on either side, with a bar along the wall for ease. At the back of the theatre is the tech booth (where exciting things happen for the show)!
Before the show:
be polite to ushers and other patrons or kids around you as seats are found
use the restroom now or during intermission (available on both lower and upper levels of the CPA)
During the show:
applaud and laugh, but please don't talk loudly or distract the actors or other audience members
no photo or video recording of the performance
please turn off your cell (or at least put it on do not disturb) and other devices that may be noisy or distracting
lights stay on inside the auditorium
sounds and other design elements are dimmed during the performance
actions like talking, changing seats, or taking restroom breaks are acceptable
Note: the sensory-friendly performance of Princess Fearless will be Saturday, September 23rd at 2pm
