PHOTOPAD aims at proposing a new concept of smart adsorbents where enhanced adsorption provided by the hierarchically porous structures combined to in situ regeneration by solar-activated heterogeneous photocatalysis will provide an energy-efficient and broad-spectrum removal of contaminants, effective for multiple cycles without need of secondary treatment.
