Know Before You Go

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS:

As a reminder, Daylight Savings Time ends on Sunday, November 2nd.  Please ensure your clocks "fall back" one hour! 

ATTIRE:

Attire for the Professional Development Day is casual, however please no jeans.  We encourage you to wear your Primrose cardigan or polo. Please dress appropriately for the venue and weather. 

ARRIVAL TIME & AGENDA:

Please visit the Agenda page for a detailed look at the timeline of the day.  Registration/Check-In begins at 8:00AM and will close when the program begins at 8:45AM.  Please allow yourself enough time to be seated by 8:45AM for the start of the program.  

PARKING:

Complimentary Parking is available in the large surface lot located at the Dewey Gottwald Center. Please see the Transportation & Parking page for further details. 

ONSITE EVENT LOCATION:

Our event takes place in The Dewey Gottwald Center, the private event space located at the Science Museum of Virginia.  The Dewey Gottwald Center entrance is located on the back side of the main museum on Leigh St.  Please follow Primrose directional signage & see the parking map on the Transportation & Parking page for more details. 

Please do NOT enter at or arrive to the main museum entrance on W. Broad St.  You will NOT be able to access the event space from the main museum entrance. 

FOOD & BEVERAGE:

Grab & Go Breakfast items will be available during the registration period between 8:00AM - 8:45AM.  Coffee, water, tea and sodas will be available in the meeting space throughout the day. Lunch will also be served during the program and consists of a variety of cold sandwiches, sides and cookies.  A final afternoon snack will also be offered closer to the end of the day.  

GUEST SEATING:

Seating will be on a first come basis inside The Dewey Gottwald Center.  There are no assigned seats or tables.
