Hello! My name is Janet Thornton and I am the owner and founder of Primitive Creations, Inc. I started experimenting with soap back at the end of 2013 because I liked the idea of being self-sufficient and creative. I believed that making my own soap was a good way to start. Now it has grown into so much more. While experimenting with soap and other bath and body products, I realized all the good things that can come out of making my own soap to fit my own needs. I found ways to make products that are gentle on sensitive skin and products that were more "natural". I also found that goat's milk improved the quality of my soaps (which was great because I had already owned goats for 16 years at that point, so I already had goat's to get my milk from). 

After I had been making soap for my husband and 3 children for a while, I started sharing with close family and friends. They expressed how much they liked the quality of my soap. At this point, I loved making soap so much that I decided to try my hand at making a small business out of it. And that is how Primitive Creations, Inc came to be back in 2016. Now I have expanded to goat's milk lotion, lip balm, and so much more. 

While I will admit, it has been hard juggling everything that I do. Between 3 kids (2 currently in college), a small hobby farm (with 60+ animals), a vegetable garden, working part-time, and all the other things that I do. I still wouldn't change a single thing. This business and all my customers have given me so much joy and I can't wait to see where the future takes Primitive Creations, Inc.!
