Primexia Studios built the ScriptCam app as a Commercial app. This SERVICE is provided by Primexia Studios and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.
If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information Collection and Use
For a better experience, while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. The information that we request will be retained on your device and is not collected by us in any way.
To function as a video teleprompter and editor, the app requires the following permissions:
Camera Permission: Required to record video while you read your script. The video data is processed locally on your device.
Microphone Permission: Required to record audio along with your video.
Storage/Files Permission: Required to save the final video files to your device's gallery or internal storage so you can access, edit, and share them.
Internet Permission: Required to enable optional Google Drive cloud backup and to show ads.
We do not upload your videos, scripts, or audio recordings to any external server unless you explicitly enable the Cloud Backup feature. All content created within ScriptCam remains 100% private on your device unless you choose to use Cloud Backup.
2. Google Drive Cloud Backup (Optional Feature)
ScriptCam offers an optional Cloud Backup feature that allows you to back up and restore your scripts, settings, and recorded videos using your personal Google Drive account.
What data is backed up:
Your scripts (title and content)
App settings (teleprompter preferences, backup preferences)
Recorded videos (if you enable "Backup Videos")
How it works:
You must explicitly sign in with your Google account to use this feature.
All backup files are stored in a private, hidden app-specific folder in your Google Drive (called appDataFolder). This folder is not visible in your regular Google Drive and cannot be accessed by other apps.
We do not access any other files in your Google Drive.
You can disconnect your Google account at any time from the Settings screen, which stops all future backups.
Google Account Information:
When you sign in with Google, we access your name, email address, and profile picture to display your connected account in the Settings screen.
This information is stored locally on your device for display purposes only.
We do not store or transmit your Google account credentials to any server operated by Primexia Studios.
Data Deletion:
You can delete your backup data at any time by disconnecting Google Drive in Settings and then deleting the app data from your Google Drive account settings.
3. Analytics (Firebase)
To improve our Service and understand how users interact with the app, we use Google Firebase Analytics. This third-party service collects certain information automatically, including:
Device Identifiers: Such as the Advertising ID (AAID for Android) or other unique device identifiers.
App Events: Information on how you use the app (e.g., which buttons are clicked, features used, and session duration).
Note: Firebase Analytics does not collect personal user data such as your name, email address, or the content of your scripts and videos. This data is used solely for the purpose of analyzing app performance and improving user experience.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
ScriptCam may display advertisements served by Google AdMob to free users. AdMob may collect and use data, including Device Identifiers and usage data, to show personalized or non-personalized ads. You can learn more about Google's data practices at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
5. Log Data
We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app, we may collect data and information (through third-party products like Google Play Services) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

We may employ third-party companies and individuals (such as Google Firebase, Google AdMob, and Google Drive API) due to the following reasons:
To facilitate our Service;

Since ScriptCam processes your media data locally by default, your videos are as secure as your physical device. Cloud backups inherit the security guarantees of your Google Account.

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to take the necessary actions.
