In which we discuss what makes prime numbers special.
In which we introduce the prime blocks and build composite numbers. We look at the Commutative and Associative properties and why they are important when working with prime blocks.
In which we introduce the tool of a factor tree to discover how any composite number can be broken down into primes.
In which we explore some fun mental math tricks you can do with the prime blocks, and reinforce the idea that multiplication is sticking blocks together.
