Mission of the project
The Ottawa Student Primary Care Access Outreach (OSPAO) is a student‑led initiative bringing together nursing students, medical students, and other health‑professionals to support patients in navigating the primary‑care system. With family doctor shortages affecting thousands of Ottawa residents, OSPAO aims to bridge gaps by helping individuals understand their options, register for care, and access reliable health resources.

To empower Ottawa residents—especially newcomers, underserved populations, and those without a family doctor—to access timely, appropriate primary care through education, navigation support, and community outreach.
Please see the list of available clinics that still take patients in Ottawa; this list is updated every 4-6 months to maintain its credibility and availability. Kindly check the clinic websites to register online or through phone call.
