Tübingen is home to the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen, a prestigious university in the heart of Baden-Württemberg, Germany, with around 28,000 students. For more information on Tübingen, visit the Welcome Centre website.

The best way to reach Tübingen from Europe is by train (via Stuttgart) or by plane (to Stuttgart airport).

If you are traveling by train, most connections are via Stuttgart station (approximately one hour from Tübingen main station (Hauptbahnhof).

If you are flying, the closest airport to Tübingen is Stuttgart airport. From there you can take the 828 Airport Express bus from Platform 3 of the airport's bus station [Flughafen/Messe (SAB)] to take you to Tübingen main station (Hauptbahnhof). The bus costs around €8, and only accepts cash.

We recommend that you book travel in advance, as trains and planes to Stuttgart can become expensive.
