Bear

Behavior
Bears will let out a mighty roar in which they'll then chase their prey and kill it. Bears will also sleep at night or when health is low. Bears love to raid beehives, and placing campfires scares the bear off!

Taming

Bears can be tamed with lots of Honeycomb (from 10 to 21), when tamed, you can equip a bear with Barrels to which you can put Sweets (I.E. Sweet Berries) so that it'll eat them after a fight. You can unequip these barrels using scissors while the barrels are empty.

Breeding

Bears are bred with Buckets of Salmon, when breeding two bears, it'll give you a Baby Bear, but when breeding a Polar Bear with a bear, you get an exclusive Grolar Bear, which will even swim faster like a Polar bear.

Habitat
Brown Bear: Forests, Flower Forests, Birch Forests, Old Growth Birch Forests, Taigas, Snowy taigas, Both Old Growth Taigas, Groves.

Black Bear: Jungles, Sparse Jungles, Wooded Badlands.

Grolar Bear: Doesn't naturally spawn and is obtained by breeding a Polar bear with a bear.

Trivia

Bears were originally going to be Ridable with a Saddle, this was scrapped in exchange for it eating berries to heal itself.
The Tamed Bear's collar is a reference to Ribbons on Teddy Bears.
Bears were the first mob in the Primal mod without concept art for reference from the mod owner Domino.
The Bear's mechanics are inspired by a real life Brown Bear that was a soldier named Wojtek.
