The 2025-2026 season is our team’s fifth year competing in FIRST Tech Challenge, or FTC. We have two teams: Roarbotics, with 8th-10th graders, and Pride Robotics, with 11th-12th graders. Team members start off by working on developing individual areas of the robot, but these areas may change as the robot grows. The team’s three mentors are the engineering and physics teachers at our school. They help us understand everything better by making us explain the robot to them and have promoted skills such as the importance of documentation and organization, knowing when to keep trying and when to find a different solution, and how much practicing can improve our performances. We are hoping to grow these useful skills even more this year and make it to the World Championship again!

– Before competing in FTC, we were First Robotics Competition team 7175
-Along with the traditional pizza, microwave popcorn is a staple food for long meetings
-Our robot names were all composed of the same four letters: Nala, alaN, and laNa. We broke that pattern last year with Nemo, but continued a new pattern with omeN
-We use "FTC" as a title for each other, because it's funny (like how someone would use the title Mr.)
– No matter how many times we say we'll fix our wire management, we never do
-We are somehow always out of bearings and bevel gears
